From theatre, cinema, gigs and and music festivals, to some of the best shops around, it’s all going on in the North East and Cumbria. You’ve heard the phrase ‘something for everyone’? Well, at any one time we’ll have plenty of things happening. The hard part is choosing which one grabs you the most. Decisions, decisions.

After a week’s training, nothing beats sitting back with a box of popcorn at the cinema. And, of course, we’ve got plenty to choose from. Watch the latest blockbusters at our big screen cinemas or go for a more intimate environment like the Tyneside Cinema. You’ll even find free outdoor films screened on summer evenings at Grey’s Monument in Newcastle.

If you’re feeling more cultural, head to the theatre. Shows range from well loved musicals to edgy work by exciting new writers. You can also have a laugh or two at a comedy club. There’s live jazz to be enjoyed, as well as classical music, country music, rock music – in fact, we have every genre of music you could think of. What’s more, we play host to touring artists from around the world. Our venues range from tucked away bars to dedicated venues like the Forum Music Centre in Middlesbrough. What more can we say?
