We hope you've discovered what an excellent place the Northern Deanery is to train in, but what about when your shift is over? Well everything you've heard is true, the North East and Cumbria is one of the friendliest, most vibrant and beautiful areas of the country.

The Northern Deanery covers Northumberland (think Harry Potter's castle), Tyne and Wear (think Newcastle vs Sunderland), Cumbria (think wandering lonely as a cloud), Teesside (think white water rafting - yes in the UK!) and County Durham (think World Famous Cathedral).

Contrary to popular belief it's very easy to get around up here too. No matter where you end up training, you can be sure that with such great transport links, living here means you're never really far from whatever you need.
